What a day and night and early morning in Mankato. The CD1 Republican endorsement race between Sen. Mike Parry and Allen Quist went until 2 am and 23 ballots deep but without an endorsed candidate. Parry led early, but on the 15th ballot, Quist took the lead.
Above is a graph of all 23 ballots compared to how many votes were needed. Below is a graph of the 23 ballots spaced by what time each ballot result was announced. Thanks to Heather Carlson of the Rochester Post-Bulletin who tweeted these results as they were announced. Her tweets are my source of this data.
